Dons improve to two wins in League Cup

Aberdeen eventually cruised to a 4-0 win over East Kilbride at K-Park as the moved to 6pts from 6 in the league cup group stages.

Ross Doohan, Angus MacDonald, Vicente Besuijen were the three changes to the team that defeated Queen of the South seven days earlier.

The Dons took their time to get into the match with Thelin noting to the club website that: ‘We struggled a little bit in the beginning with the man-marking, but then we found solutions and got into the game step by step.’

Nicky Devlin opened the scoring before three superb strikes from Jamie McGrath, Leighton Clarkson and Shayden Morris sealed the victory.

Thelin continues to assess the squad and Tuesday’s match against Airdrie should provide a sterner test in which to assess his current roster.
